THE "NON TOXIC" WATER TREATMENT FOR HOT TUBS - JACUZZIS - SPA POOLS & WHIRLPOOLS

Do not use the hot tub if your water is not crystal clear or has odours. After the 7 day decontamination process is complete and for the next 12 months your water should always be crystal clear and odourless. If it is not, there is only one cause for this.

An insufficient volume of water flowing over your simplesilver™ block.

Possible reasons for this:

  1. The filters could be partially blocked - A partially blocked filter will inhibit the correct daily volume of water to flow over your simplesilver block to dispense its ingredients.
SOLUTIONS: Clean the filters with a recommended filter cleansing solution to breakdown the body fats that are blocking the filters or install new filters. Cleaning with water alone is not sufficient. Your filters may look clean, but over time, body fats will saturate the filter media and eventually you will be ineffective in cleaning these. Depending on the type of filter and frequency of use, most filters generally have a life span of one year.

  2. Filter circulation pump is not operating for the correct daily duration - The filter circulation pump must operate daily so that the maximum volume of water flows over the simplesilver block to dispense the ingredients into the hot tub.
    SOLUTIONS:
[1] If your hot tub has a filter circulation pump that operates continuously for 24 hours, 7 days per week, this is adequate.
[2] If your hot tub has a filter circulation pump that operates at various times throughout the day, then ensure the pump operates for a combined minimum period of 4 hours per day.
[3] If your hot tub does not have an automatic filter circulation pump, then you must ensure that the pump operates for a minimum period of 4 hours per day. This can be done by you manually or have your electrician fit a simple timer to control this pump.

  3. Our water has an odour – Clean your filters with a recommended cleansing solution to remove the body fats. Cleaning with water alone is not sufficient. Ensure that your filter circulation pump is operating for the correct daily duration (refer to numbers 1 & 8 in the “how to use simplesilver™” section).

  4. The hot tub still has contamination - In the rare event that after you have drained and refilled the hot tub with fresh water and it becomes cloudy or has an odour, this indicates that the decontamination process is incomplete. This maybe due to the problems outlined above. If your filters are partially blocked during the 7 day decontamination process, the water volume flowing over the simplesilver block will be reduced and this may affect the time it takes to remove all the contamination.
SOLUTIONS: Clean the filters daily with a recommended filter cleansing solution until the water becomes clear. Cleaning with water alone is not sufficient.
