simplesilver™ releases silicon, oxides and silver ions into your hot tub at a controlled and consistent rate as water passes over the simplesilver™ block. These monomers combine to form polymers that purify the water by precipitating contaminants and limit the formation of calcium carbonate (scale), corrosion and other bacteria. Positively charged silver ions, remain stable in water and are very effective in inhibiting growth of bacteria.
The calcium carbonate within your hot tub is softened and slowly removed by the flow of water over it. This erosion process then exposes any corrosion bacteria which may be present beneath the scale. The silver ions destroy these bacteria on contact and prevent mutation of resistant strains. These contaminants are then removed during the initial 7 day decontamination process and hot tub drain down. simplesilver™ then coats your hot tube with a fine film of silicon. Due to its electrical charge, this silicon film repels and limits any calcium or magnesium salts from adhering to your hot tub, this increases pump efficiencies, the ability to transfer heat more effectively and slows any corrosion activity. |
