- When not to use the Hot Tub?
You must not use the hot tub, if the water is not crystal clear or if there is an odour present.
- How much simplesilver™ do I need to use?
One 500g simplesilver™ block controls pools of up to 1,500 litres for a 12 month period. If the pool water volume is greater than 1,500 litres, then additional 500g or 1kg blocks must be used.
- Why is it very important that the filter cycle pump operates for a minimum of 4 hours daily?
The only way the simplesilver ingredients can be dispensed into the hot tub water is by having water flowing over the block. If this does not occur, the water will not be effectively treated. Depending on frequency of use, hot tub loading, pump size and flow rates, the minimum time setting of 4 hours per day may need to be increased to suit your circumstances.
- Why is it very important that your filters are kept clean?
For good water management, it is very important to regularly clean your filters on a weekly basis with a recommended cleansing solution. The filters remove body fats and other solid matter from the hot tub. Simplesilver requires a certain volume of water to circulate over it daily. If your filter is partially blocked, the volume of water flowing over the simplesilver block will be reduced and this will diminish its effectiveness.
- What do I need to do after the 7 day decontamination process has been completed?
[1] Once the 7 day decontamination process is complete, the filter cycle pump can be reset to operate for a minimum of 4 hours per day. This time setting will depend on your hot tub flow rate, loading and frequency of use.
[2] Ensure that water flows over the simplesilver block duringthefiltercycleprogramme. This is so the product can be dispensed into the water to remove and control bacteria, pH, scale, corrosion & TDS levels within your hot tub.
[3] If the circulation pumpdoes not operate for this minimum 4 hour daily period, or the volume of circulated water is diminished (ie. dirty filter), the water will become cloudy and smelly. If this happens, do not use the hot tub as it is contaminated.
[4] Please ensure your hot tub has an adjustable filter cycle programme, if not, contact your electrician to make this minor alteration.
